Reservation a boon for poor or political class

Reservation in India

Reservation in India has been a topic of discussion since India has implemented it. whether reservation is right or wrong is the burning issue of discussion over the years between intellectual class and common people. but as a citizen of India what crosses my mind is that whether reservation has fulfilled the cause it was implemented for or not?
It is been 68 years since we have got independence form British Raj. have we really achieved better results through reservation or have worsened the things by dividing people on the basis of casteism area and religion.
History of reservation in India is long before Independence and was 1st implemented in princely states for backward classes and then in 1901 reservation was introduced for maharashtra.
The notification of 1902 created 50% reservation in services for backward classes/ communities in the state of kolhapur. this is the 1st official Govt.order proving for reservation for depressed classes in india.
Here by I can think or justify that the reservation was started to uplift the depressed class who was the target of continuous exploitation by upper class. so to uplift them it was necessary to give them edge in certain things. but the question we need to think is that ,was all upper class people in the position of exploiting the depressed classes????
was all people in rajput classes and brahmin classes and other upper classes prosperous
and was laced with all amenities. weren't they the target of exploitation by the people of their castes.
The question which next comes to my mind is that its not possible that all the people in upper class were prosperous and they were never humiliated. and all the people in lower classes were very poor any always got humiliated. though the difference of humiliation and prosperity may be at large between two, but it would be wrong to states that all the lower classes were humiliated and all the upper classes was never in need of any benefits.
So if the above things concluded then I come to conclusion that yes India was in need to implement Reservation to uplift the people not on the basis of class but on the basis of need.
We should have done the reservation to uplift the poor rather than focusing on special class and area. by providing reservation to certain classes and areas aren't we making others angry or make them to think for rebellion as in the latest case of GUJRAT PATEL agitation.
or we are making it a source of gathering vote for political class.
By providing reservation to certain classes or certain areas or certain groups we are making them more vulnerable.
I would like to brief a evil of reservation through a story, may be  it would be better to understand in that way.......so here goes a story of general class aspirants looking for Civil service exam and SC/ST Class.
The 1st stage where general candidate feels disciminated is the fees he is required to fill the form
The 2nd stage where he feels discriminated is the age restriction gape between general and others.
The 3rd step  where he feels  discriminated is educational qualification disparity.
But I think that it is not that much discrimination that General shoul be worried about. But things gets uglier further.......
The 4th step where general class will feel neglected is division of seats for particular class.
The 5th step where general will feel neglected is qualifying marks difference between both.
The 6th step where the general feel neglected is the tenure Disparity for promotion in both.
Are we justifying with the common people by providing reservation to a person for a certain work, for which he is not technically qualified to do??????
I think the most responsible class for this evil is our political class, they have made it a way of geeting votes rather than uplifting them.
I can assure you that the capable never need reservation and i can bet that the most of among SC/ST people are not in favour of reservation. They want to give up of reservation but it is some among political class who are making it the issue of getting votes.
I would like to say that if the capable person can give up of gas cylinder reservation to help those who are actually in need of this. why cant we give up of reservation based on cast and area.
How can we expect to grow a system whre most of the people working are not actually qualified to do that job..........
what are we heading towards by keeping our eyes shut on the issue of Patel reservation in Gujrat. jaat resrevation In Haryana. I tend to think that what is it that Govt. is waiting for? Does Govt. wants all the upper class to agitate for the Reservation.
